Happy Father's Day from Evelyn & Bobbie

This Father’s Day, I am compelled to write a special message.

These days, we hear a lot about men who are getting it wrong. It’s necessary. Just as necessary in these critical times, though, is to shine the light on men that are getting it right.

My dad took me to buy my first bra when I was twelve. Took me to the mall, hooked me up. Low-key. Full of love.

Twenty years later, when I was working on my first patents for a new bra technology, my dad and I headed to his garage and went into maker-mode. Unafraid. Curious. Supporting my dreams, no matter what.

My brother is a father, husband, spear-fisherman, and overall badass. He has always been there for me, had my back, no matter what.

There are so many men out there who are not threatened by powerful women. The ones that don’t want to put the fire out by squeezing too tight – instead, they want to fuel the fire. They want iron-maiden women by their sides. They make mistakes, and own it. They are fierce, and gentle--celebrating their mothers, daughters, partners everyday. Laughing with us. Crying with us.

So this Father’s Day, I want to give a shout out to the men that are awake enough to participate in building a healthier, more gender balanced, more equitable future.

Thanks. We see you. We love you. We are so glad you’re on our team.
