Tell us about what it took to get to your current rank.
Many mentors, hard work, late hours, countless schools and courses, and
personal sacrifices.
Why did you choose this branch of the military?
My parents are Marines. Growing up in a military community, I gravitated
towards the lifestyle.
What has been your most rewarding experience in the military so far?
My most rewarding experience is watching newly joined Marines traverse
through the complexities of the Marine Corps to become successful leaders.
I recently had the privilege of attending a Marine's OCS graduation. I
watched him grow up through the ranks and got to witness his dream of
becoming a Marine Corps Officer come true. It was a tremendous experience!
What advice would you give a young person looking to enlist?
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable, your plan will not always be the
plan, so just roll with it. Do the right thing at the right time the FIRST
time, be confident, be intelligent, take care of each other, and own your
shit. No one respects or trusts someone that does not own their shit.
Why is it important that you have comfortable underwear, both on-duty and
off-duty?
Oh my-that list is endless. In the field or deployed, especially in hot
climates, with camouflage utilities, flak jacket w/ SAPIs, plus the rest of
the gear, chaffing, sweat, elastic and cotton do not go together. Sometimes
underwear can get pulled the wrong way, cut off circulation, it sounds
crazy, but it happens. With E&B, it literally feels like I have nothing on.
So that is one less thing to be aware of or be irritated by. Off duty,
well, there is a fine line between looking cute in a lace thong for your
husband versus the lace thing ...flossing your bum? TMI, yes. But also very
true. I want to be comfortable AND sexy at the same time. The thong is also
so comfortable you could wear it with spandex when working out-no one likes
a panty line!
These underwear are literally the most comfortable boy shorts/ thong/ brief
I have ever worn in my life!!! WOW.

Tell us about what it took to get to your current rank?
To get to my current rank I had to be in active service for at least 9 months and stay out of trouble.
Why did you choose this branch of the military?
I chose this branch of the military because of a family member’s experience in the same branch -The most rewarding experience in the military so far would be accomplishing the physical needs of the Marine Corps being that I have g6pd which is a blood disorder where my red blood cells do not receive oxygen the way it normally should.
What advice would you give a young person looking to enlist?
For a young person looking to enlist, I would advise him/her to take a personality test and research how the military works and get a deep understanding as to why they are looking to join.
Why is it important that you have comfortable underwear, both
on-duty and off-duty?
It is important to have comfortable underwear on and off duty because wedgies effect your mood and no one likes un-comfortability.

Tell us what it takes to be a Marine Corps Spouse:
It takes a lot of patience to be a military spouse. Plans change, things take longer and sometimes things just don’t work out. We are typically raising kids alone through work ups and deployments and handling all things from kids to finances and every day activities. As they say we keep the fire burning.
Do you have any kids?
We have 3 amazing energetic kids from ages 7 to 2
What advice would you give to a new spouse?
I would say don’t sweat the small stuff. Have and learn patience because just when you think things are set in stone they change. Also, appreciate your spouse while they are home because they can leave at any moment.
Why is it important to have comfortable underwear?
It is important to have comfortable underwear because you don’t want to be that one person at events trying to adjust themselves in a room because your undies decide to fall. You can’t be comfortable if you are constantly having to secretly tug or have to run to the bathroom to adjust. A busy Military life with 3 kids alone is tough enough. You don’t need to add embarrassment and more stress but crappy made undergarments.
